While the Linux and MAC are racing behind microsoft, Microsoft believes they can easily move their customers to new version of windows. Apple and Linux community may see this an chance to grab some of the desktop consumer market by demonstrating advantages and disadvantages of their respective operating systems.

Are you ready to try MAC or Lunux and thrashing out windows (and doors to the viruses). The regular complaint i hear about windows is from the geeks which the non-geeks users seem to like about it. Recently one of my friend complained about windows saying he does’nt like the UI, well the normal novice user likes it and it wont be wront to say windows did built the foundation of the UI which helped it move into their homes and office and be dependent on it.

Any way when talking about the race, i feel Linux desktop isn;t that user friendly and helpful and is too comlicated for person like my wife who like to use the pc but does not knows how to, but alteast she was able to mke her way on windows gradually through hand on learning by trial and hit methods. Apple’s MAC is cools but currently too expensive has a small share market good for graphics and videos savvy people.

Between Linux and MAC, hats off to MAC but i would still say windows is ahead in the game of desktop experience. So who care the race between Linux and Apple when number is is windows atleast for quite some time.
